Partnering with ASEAN to Help PAOs Adopt and Implement International Standards
AFA together with IFAC co-published an article to highlight a joint collaboration between the organisations organised between October 2021 to May 2022. The article is written by Adrian Lim (Senior Regional Manager, IFAC), Tanya Musumhi (Regional Manager, IFAC), and Aucky Pratama (Executive Director, AFA) and published at the IFAC Knowledge Gateway.
AFA supported by IFAC hosted a series of seven monthly workshops focusing on IFACs requirements for member organisations, the Statements of Membership Obligations (SMOs). These workshops helped AFA member professional accountancy organisations (PAOs) follow and maintain IFACs requirements as all AFA primary and associate members are also IFAC member organisations. Workshops featured IFAC staff presentations and guest presenters from AFA member PAOs, the Pan African Federation of Accountants CEO. IFACs PAO Development Advisory Group member, and IESBA.
